Exciting news from India! A generous amount of Lithium, approximately 5.9 million tonnes, has been discovered in Jammu & Kashmir's Reasi. This marks the first time that Lithium has been found in India, and could potentially be a game-changer for the country. 

Lithium is an essential component in a wide range of electronic devices such as laptops, mobile phones, and more, making it a valuable addition to the Indian economy

The Ministry Of Mines said "For the first time, lithium reserves have been discovered, and that too in Jammu and Kashmir "

 



The significance of minerals in a nation's economy cannot be overstated. India, which has historically been reliant on imported materials such as Lithium and Cobalt, now has the opportunity to become self-sufficient.

 this breakthrough has the potential to bring about a significant transformation and add immense value to the economy of India. As a result of this discovery, India has now been recognized as having the 6th largest known reserve of Lithium.
